What students summarize

The water cycle describes how water moves continuously through the environment. Heat from the sun causes water in oceans, rivers, and lakes to evaporate into water vapor. The vapor rises, cools, and condenses into clouds. When the droplets become heavy enough, they fall back to the surface as precipitation such as rain or snow. This water then collects in bodies of water or soaks into the ground, and the cycle begins again.
